What we do not collect
We do not operate loan-application forms and do not collect Social Security numbers, ITINs, income documents, or other sensitive financial application data on this site. When you choose to connect with a partner, you leave Mortgage Merlin and that partner’s own privacy policy governs whatever you share with them.
What we may collect
- Usage data. Standard analytics such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring site — used to improve our content.
- Information you volunteer. If you email us or use a contact form, we receive what you send (for example your name and message) to respond.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and, where present, advertising. Advertising partners such as Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits. Affiliate partners may set a cookie to attribute a referral. You can control cookies in your browser settings; blocking them won’t break the site.
Third parties
We rely on service providers for hosting, analytics and advertising, and we link out to lenders, marketplaces and source material. We don’t sell your personal information. Outbound partners are governed by their own policies — see our affiliate disclosure.
